One of the summer’s great American Film Festivals takes place in one of America’s most scenic seaports. Woods Hole on Cape Cod is where you hop on the ferry to Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket. Restaurants on the water serve up tasty treats from the ocean, art galleries and museums are as prevalent as their beaches, and if you venture too far out into the surf you may come face to face with a Great White Shark. Cape Cod is now America’s favorite playground for seals, which of course… well, you get the drift.
The Artist & the Astronaut film was invited to this year’s festivities, and we couldn’t have been prouder to be here. The screening on Sunday was well attended and the audience could not have been more receptive. Bill and Todd answered questions, which continued into the lobby and eventually into the courtyard in front of the theater.
In attendance was the great illustrator and filmmaker Lynne Cherry. Todd and Lynne enjoyed spirited conversations about many topics. Including the fact that her million-selling The Great Kapok Tree was one of his kids’ favorite books!
Our film crew would like to thank the Woods Hole Film Festival staff and volunteers for their exceptional organization and gracious hospitality.
Now we’re off to New York City!
